About William Eickman
Will graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University with a master’s degree in Counseling, with an emphasis in Family, Marriage, and Couples Counseling. He has worked within the mental health and human services field throughout his professional career, including being a case manager for foster youth in both Denver, Colorado, as well as with KVC in Kansas.
Will currently serves as a mental health counselor at Congruence Counseling, helping clients who are experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, and family conflict. With his professional experience as both a counselor and a case manager, he is familiar with the struggles that come with difficult situations in foster care, both for youth and caretakers.
Therapeutic Philosophy
Will believes that every person has the innate power and ability to experience growth and healing, no matter their circumstances. His goal as a therapist is to help create a safe therapeutic space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood.
As a therapist, Will aids in strengthening both internal and external resources through:
Learning new coping skills
Processing difficult experiences
Expanding awareness
Therapeutic Approach & Modalities
Will views client care through a therapeutic lens that includes:

Somatic-based interventions
Trauma-informed care
He values building on client strengths and prioritizes safety throughout the therapeutic process.
Modalities used include:
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)
Somatic Experiencing (SE)
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Family Systems
Will feels honored to connect with clients, hear their stories, and come alongside them in a way that supports healing, growth, and a renewed sense of feeling unstuck at any age.
Therapy Providers at Joy Meadows
William Eickman uses the Joy Meadows Foster Care Therapy Center as a secondary office location. Multiple independent therapy providers operate from the center, allowing families to access specialized care in one place and enabling collaboration when a whole-child approach is needed.
Appointments, treatment plans, and billing are managed directly with each provider.
Therapy Mentors at Joy Meadows
Volunteer Therapy Mentors support families by caring for children during sessions, allowing caregivers to participate fully in therapy without added stress.
