Support resources for children in foster care and the families caring for them.
Therapy Center
Our Therapy Center provides trauma-informed services for children impacted by foster care. Families can access counseling and therapeutic supports in one coordinated setting. Medicaid is accepted, and services are provided at no cost whenever possible. Caregiver mentors are available during sessions to offer encouragement and practical support.
Care Community Support
Care Communities provide wrap-around support for foster families through partnerships with local churches. These teams walk alongside families with practical help, relational support, and consistent presence, helping reduce isolation and caregiver burnout.
Animal Programs
Joy Meadows offers animal experiences (animal sessions, riding lessons, hippotherapy, animal day camps) designed to support connection, confidence, and joy. Programs are tailored to each child’s interests and include farm activities and horse-related experiences, all grounded in trauma-informed care.
Second Saturday
Second Saturday is a monthly gathering for foster and adoptive families held May through December. Families enjoy a shared meal, hands-on activities, outdoor experiences, and time to connect with others in similar journeys. The clothing closet is also available during these events.
Clothing Closet
The Joy Meadows Clothing Closet provides clothing and essentials for children in foster care throughout the year. This resource helps meet immediate needs during placements and transitions, offering families support with dignity and care.
Summer Camps
Our free, week-long summer day camp provide elementary-age children and teens with new, fun experiences that challenge them, help them build relationships, and support self-regulation in a trauma-informed environment.
Nature-based, experiential activities bring back the wonder, hope, and joy of childhood that is often lost for children who come from hard places. Each child is matched with a camp guide for the week to focus on relationship-building and connection, while caregivers receive meaningful daytime respite.
