Family Resources
are available for
any child or caregiver
impacted by foster care
or adoption—
no limitations.
Therapy Center
The best therapists provide cutting-edge therapy to children impacted by trauma.
Therapists can see children on Medicaid for free, reducing their overhead and making it possible for them to see these children who usually do not have a way to get the best therapy.
Various types of therapy (OT, PT, Speech Path, and counselor) work together to see a child all at one location.
Mentor volunteers are matched with the family so the parent/caregiver can go into the therapy session with one child while a mentor plays with the other children in the home.
Care Community Support
We work with local churches to provide wrap-around support for each foster and adoptive family.
Research shows that support from Care Communities dramatically improves the retention rate of families caring for vulnerable children.
Care community volunteers typically live within 20 minutes of the family being served.
Animal Sessions
Free one-on-one guided interaction with a nature activity at Joy Meadows.
Led by a trained session leader whose sole purpose is to listen to the child, connect meaningfully, and provide an opportunity for fun engagement and experiences with a nature-based activity.
Animal and Hippotherapy sessions are available.
Second Saturday
Monthly (May-Dec.) events for all foster and adoptive families.
Share a meal.
Harvest in the garden and orchard.
Enjoy fun activities like horse rides, barrel train, jumping pad, crafts.
Shop in the clothing closet.
Connect with other individuals and families that just "get it."
Second Saturday is free, registration is required so we can best prepare for you! Registration for Events opens March 1st.
Clothing Closet
The clothing closet is available for children when they first come into foster care and have very little clothing.
Open year round as families have needs that arise for their foster children.
Outdoor Adventure Camp
Our free, week-long summer day camp provides elementary and teens with new, fun experiences in a way that will challenge them, help them build relationships, and be in an environment that improves self-regulation and is trauma-informed.
Nature-based experiential activities bring back the wonder, hope, and joy of childhood that is often lost by children who come from hard places.
Kids are matched with a camp guide for the week so they can work on relationships and connection.
Parents have day respite for a week.
