Behind every foster care statistic is a child who deserves stability.
Behind every gift is a chance for healing.
"I didn't know there were places like this."

For children who've experienced trauma, abuse, and the instability of foster care, joy isn't just nice to have—it's essential for healing.
At Joy Meadows, joy isn't an accident. It's cultivated intentionally through:
Therapy made easier.
Trauma-informed counseling and animal sessions available to all foster families in our region increase regulation and attachment.
This year, 1,800+ therapy sessions have provided healing.
Family resources that last.
Trauma Competent Caregiver training, garden/camp experiences, and a free clothing closet open to all foster/adoption and kinship families.
This year, 900+ children received clothing and essentials.
200+ children experienced the freedom of summer camp.
Stable Housing.
On-site homes and wrap-around support reduce separations and serve “hard to place” children.
This year, 33 children discovered stability in on-site homes.
Community that prevents burnout.
Care Communities from local churches surround families (whether on-site or not) with practical help.
This year, 70+ churches in the Church Network provided wrap-around support for foster families in their community, empowered by Joy Meadows training and resources.
"It's hard to find therapists that understand all of the overlapping issues for our children in foster care. It's so helpful to go to one place and see therapists and people that just already understand what you are going through."

- A Joy Meadows Volunteer
“I’m so glad a high school classmate told me about Joy Meadows! I was searching for resources after gaining guardianship of my great nephew & 2 great nieces. Going from a single mom of 1 to a single mom of 4 was a huge adjustment for everyone. The kids have enjoyed the Second Saturday events - playing with other kids, petting the animals & the fast train rides. We’ve been blessed by their closing closet, garden & I even received a gift card in the mail. I know our family is their prayers & I’m still exploring the resources they offer. Knowing that you’re not alone in a difficult situation makes a big difference.”
—New Foster Parent
“We already had other children in our home and were on our way to Joy Meadows when we got a call to pick up a little boy in an emergency situation. We were able to spend family time in a safe place, and also get clothing for this little boy right away to meet his needs. What Joy Meadows is doing matters.”
—Experienced Foster Parent
“She feels a sense of accomplishment and pride in her skills as a horse rider and that’s amazing because there are few things she feels that way about.”
