Guidelines for Group Projects
Timeframe: Typically, groups help in 2-4 hour segments one time or on a regular basis several times a year. We do not host work groups on Sundays.
Project Details: Joy Meadows Staff will communicate with you any materials you can bring to help with the project your group will be working on, arrival times and location, and any specific instructions related to the project. Joy Meadows Staff will determine the specifics of the group project based upon the top priority needs of Joy Meadows, the skills, ability, and age of your group members.
Volunteer Guidelines: Families are welcome to serve together. We ask that parents supervise their children the entire time they are on-site. Due to safety concerns, we ask that children be at least 5 years old to attend a serve project with their parents. School groups must be 6th grade and older. School and youth groups must have a 5-1 ratio of adults and youth.
Important Note:
Due to confidentiality, please refrain from taking pictures of children in foster care while you are on the Joy Meadows property. Please also keep children’s names, ages, and stories private.
