About Lindsey Phillips

Lindsey is a trauma-informed occupational therapist with 11 years of experience working with children and families across a wide range of settings, including private practice, developmental preschool, public school systems, hospital-based outpatient clinics, multidisciplinary specialty clinics, and inpatient hospital environments.

She specializes in MNRI techniques, including dynamic and postural integration, stress hormone release, PTSD recovery, and oral-facial integration. Lindsey is trained and certified as a feeding therapist and is also a VitalStim provider.

Lindsey is certified by the American Hippotherapy Association as a hippotherapy provider, which is the primary therapy she provides at Joy Meadows. Through her professional experience, she understands how vital the nervous system is in lifelong healing and recovery.

Lindsey earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Missouri in May 2015 and later completed her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree at the University of Kansas in May 2019.

Outside of work, Lindsey is a wife, the mother of two young boys, and a former foster mom. When she is not working, she enjoys attending sporting events, playing outside with her family, and engaging in friendly competition through board and card games with friends.

Therapy Providers at Joy Meadows

Every provider uses the Joy Meadows Foster Care Therapy Center as a secondary office location. Multiple independent therapy providers operate from the center, allowing families to access specialized care in one place and enabling collaboration when a whole-child approach is needed.

Appointments, treatment plans, and billing are managed directly with each provider.

Therapy Mentors at Joy Meadows

Volunteer Therapy Mentors support families by caring for children during sessions, allowing caregivers to participate fully in therapy without added stress.
